It ain’t about Joe giving up or letting go. It’s about how Mary takes full control. Oh but Mary always thinks about her husband’s routine. To a man she believes in and the air he breathes. When you coming home? Dinners getting cold, I’m here all alone. She’s a woman in a fish bowl drowning in his routine. She’s too far in as he sealed her fate. But the love she feels it’ll never dissipate. Joseph works “late” drinking in what Mary dictates, at the local dive for his “last escape”. Oh as Joseph speaks smooth, he thinks he’s got his slick ways, But everybody at the bar knows Mary has the last say. When you coming home? Our kids want to know, we’re here all alone. He’s a man in fish bowl drowning in his routine, He’s too far in as she sealed his fate. But as denial sets in he’ll always take her bait. It’s a marriage in a fish bowl drowning in this routine. They’re too far in as they sealed their fate. But with the love they share it’ll never evaporate. It ain’t about Joe giving up or letting go. It’s about how Mary takes full control.

It’s half past five on a Tuesday night. My palms a bit sweaty, my nerves are running high. I keep talking to myself to drown out my doubts, cause I’m on my way to see a girl, gonna see what she’s all about. I walked down Bainbridge Street, down came the pouring rain. I knocked up on her front door; She smiled and let me in. We talked about things we hate and things we love. Like all those students loans, the beach and oh Donald Trump. I walked down Bainbridge Street, down came the pouring rain. I knocked up on her front door; she smiled and let me... It’s the warmth of her eyes and the welcoming of her thighs but it’s the blessing of her smile. So, I walked down Bainbridge Street, down came the pouring rain. I knocked up on her front door; she smiled and let me in. It’s half past five on a Wednesday morning.

I’ve been dating this girl now about to leave, Cause she got more baggage then Mary Poppins seen. The wrong girl can ruin all your dreams, if you’re stuck in the middle of her family genes. Go run and hide, if her family ain’t tight. It’s best to read in-between the lines. (If you know what I mean, if you know what I mean) Go run and hide, if her family ain’t tight. It’s best to read in-between the lines. I need a woman that has her head on straight, Doesn’t have all that ba-ba-ba baggage claim. She’s a ten outta ten but can’t hold it on her own, Like this time, that time, time again its shown. Go run and hide, if her family ain’t tight. It’s best to read in-between the lines. (If you know what I mean, if you know what I mean) Go run and hide, if her family ain’t tight. It’s best to read in-between the lines. She’s got Daddy issue syndrome, can’t make up her mind On what to feel, hear or touch I guess that’s a sign. She obsessed with her ex and her emotions are mixed, Her sister Jane’s insane and can’t be fixed. Her father’s a drunk and shows no remorse, So her crazy eyed cheating mama settled for divorce. Go run and hide, if her family ain’t tight. It’s best to read in-between the lines. (If you know what I mean, if you know what I mean) Go run and hide, if her family ain’t tight. It’s best to read in-between the lines.

I was born a republican, went to church and said my sins. God said with age and time, you gotta do what’s right. We got a lot of things to work out, our systems breaking on down. You only see one side of this machine, before you talk go to the other side and walk. You don’t need to be the President of the United States; you don’t need all that power. You don’t need to go to church to listen to all the sinners pray. To you God I ain’t sorry. Now you have nothing to prey on, you place your knees to the floor for your weaknesses start to say… Is this the American dream? People getting fucked over in the land of the free. You don’t need to be the President of the United States; you don’t need all that power. You don’t need to go to church to hear all the sinners pray. To you God I ain’t sorry. You don’t need to go to an institution to succeed cause what you feel inside that’s your degree. You don’t need to fill your ears and eyes on those TV screens, do yourself a favor and walk outside your streets. It’s not who’s right, it’s what’s right. It’s not who’s right, it’s what feels right. I was born a republican, went to church and said my sins. God said with age and time, you gotta do what’s right. You don’t need to be the President of the United States; you don’t need all that power. You don’t need to go to church to listen to all the sinners pray. To you God I ain’t sorry. To all the students out there, you can sell your souls away but remember the best things in life are free. You don’t need to be the person everybody wants you to be just be you and someday you’ll see… It’s not who’s right, it’s what’s right. It’s not who’s right, it’s what feels right…I was born.
